DrawTogetherOnline, explained

DrawTogetherOnline, created in 1998, is the longest running website for this game. What is this game? Why, I'm glad you asked. While it has no agreed upon name, only referred to as "the game" by DTO, it is fundamentally a game about control.

Each turn, players take turns drawing a line on a canvas. That is the only thing you can do. There are no fancy macros or keyboard combinations. You are trying to deny your opponent from making key connections between their figures while simultaneously creating yours. For more information on the rules, see this page.

This freeform nature has led to many offshoots and immitations. But make no mistake DrawTogetherOnline is the only way to play the game. DTO is the only website which maintains an original moveset and a solver that factors in all of the rules.

Dae-Jung found victorious over Kevin Anderson in a nail-biting final to the 32nd annual DTOGlobal Tournament. This marks his 5th consecutive title, leading many to question whether he is the greatest player of all time.

A New Direction

Launching in 1998, DrawTogetherOnline.net was the first website for the game. It was one of the first online games to ever feature a Skill-Based Matchmaking system. And to this day DTO is still the only site that maintains an accurate evaluator factoring in all known rules to the game. Today we are happy to annoucne a new chapter in the DTO legacy. What’s Changing Registering a new account will now require a one time fee of 10 USD.
